Very expressive & deep wisdom, thank you for the Light you share.
Thanks for your ongoing support and encouragement Les.
Hi Ian, reading your blog here I’m looking at your focus on this topic compared with Brene Browns (BB) focus. I understand BB looks at what is behind vulnerability – shame and guilt. You are taking a step further back in this ladder wave-like development of vulnerability, by including how shame and guilt develop. You talk about childhood trauma and negative life experiences which lead to shame and guilt. Then you go on to describe how you are overcoming them by starting with small steps into vulnerability by asking a mate out for coffee and developing an essential trust and introducing a deep issue of yours. I see BB as so far describing the ‘What’ and your own focus on this topic as describing the Why and How.
You are using longtitudinal self experience and people love to read how someone else has overcome a difficulty as protracted as yours. It takes people closer to ‘How’ they might write their own story metaphorically.
I’m feeling really excited for you Ian, for your gift for deep self analysis and your emotional strength to take yourself through healing and onwards, to a life of whole heartedness. You are writing a prototype.
love from your mate, Jilly
